Providence Health System
Advantage IQ plays a key role within Providence Health System's energy management program. They take care of all of our utility bills from Anchorage to Los Angeles. Using their service enables Providence to measure the performance of our diverse facility portfolio and identify locations we need to prioritize for energy initiatives. Our facilities vary greatly in both size and location - from large hospitals in a campus like setting to small clinics. It would be impossible to get my hands around the billing and energy data without the Advantage IQ web-based system and the support my client services team provides.
The Advantage IQ client web site is the backbone of our decision making process. I use it to generate all of my quarterly and annual reports for cost and consumption for all 215 Providence facilities. Having accurate data is critical for budgeting, effectively tracking energy efficiency programs, and even for working with our design architects to plan new facilities - I couldn't do it without the Advantage IQ system.
Reducing energy usage and costs through conservation is a prime initiative for Providence. Advantage IQ has allowed us to become an ENERGY STAR® Partner through the EPA. The success of our conservation initiatives documented through Advantage IQ's system directly supported Providence in being awarded top honors from the EPA for our efforts.
Today, there are great concerns across the nation regarding the cost of healthcare. Utility costs and consumption have a significant impact on Providence Health System's net operating income and you can't manage what you can't measure. I'm able to report with confidence using the Advantage IQ system. In fact, every $100,000 I can save on energy is equivalent to $2 million of new business - which directly impacts our bottom line.
